America's official Motto “In God We Trust” was inaugurated in 1864 and It is codified as federal law in the United States, “title 36 of the United States code”. Use of the motto on circulating coinage is required by law. It is clear that American government “laws, values system and principles” was established by Christians. Today, their national anthem “LAND OF THE FREE HOME OF THE BRAVE” and their motto “In God We Trust” lost its original meaning and intention. America is not any more the land of free home of the brave, because neither it's not free nor they're not brave any more. They're not free to public worship of the God of their forefathers or Christians of today's generation are not brave enough to fight for their rights. Their forefathers fight their rights and they paid it with blood, in contrast Christians today does not want to get involve in fighting because it's ungodly, really! The result, ungodly people are dominating their country and the freedom is widely benefited most for evil intention and self expressions of the individualistic philosophy. The result, they killed almost million of babies a year and broke many homes and families, that is why original American are diminishing. The people that enjoyed the so called freedom are not the original American by birth, these are people from East who dominate America (at least in my personal view).
Why these things happen? My opinion to this, it is because Christians failed to unify themselves and fight for their rights against unconstitutional bills. Individualistic philosophies are killing their cultures like “being UNITED culture” which United States philosophies came from. I think, it is difficult for them to unite because of strong influence of individualistic philosophy, they end up in different views. They are politically united, but mentally or philosophically divided. Only Martin Luther king Jr. was the last person who reverse the culture of racial discrimination and became champion in fighting "CIVIL RIGHTS". The time will come that they will change the lyrics of “In God We trust” to any motto that they think fit to their condition today. "In Guns We Trust" is not difficult to print on their bills, it will look almost exactly the same as "In God we Trust". Recently, they championed on wars in Middle East, now they help South Korea against North Korea.
I thank American people for their heroic act for other country. “Long live to you and we still love even you reject your God”. We embrace your system, theology and even culture, then latter on like maybe we will not trust God any more? We're allied therefore “IN your GUNS WE TRUST” instead of your God. We deny that we did not embrace your theology that paralyzed your theologians in fighting their rights against unconstitutional bills that kills babies and destroy homes and marriages, yet we're almost identical as yours in doctrines and philosophies. We, Filipinos were proud, as we're known to be the only Christian nation in Asia. Today, South Korea and China would say “REALLY!” Philippines is following the same steps of America, gay rights and reproductive health bill, abortion and divorce is creeping into our houses. In our family we are divided in views and principles because of the influence of individualistic doctrines that you dumped on us through your media and technologies.
However there are doctrines are that is effective for you but are not applicable in our country and that we should be vigilant and carefully study before application; but it's already in our families and churches today. We are now into dilemma of which one should be prioritize in our preaching and in our bible studies, THEOLOGY or PRACTICALITY? If we preach more on THEOLOGY people get bored and angry at the speaker/writer, if we preach PRACTICALITY then we are of no difference to the talk shows of Ellen and Oprah, then why don't we bring our churches to their shows? Only a good theology that is practically applied in people will transformed us into maturity. Religious culture in Asia are strongly SACRED and SOLEMN, then why we pressure ourselves to put coffee bars, amusement elements and entertainments in our sanctuaries? We deliberately junk the SANCTITY of our sanctuaries and altars to chose to the so called contemporary approach of worship. Seekers here are sensitive and easily get discourage if we don't have a sacred places or altars as Filipino cultures shaped us. They feel that it's no difference in the movie houses or bars once they come in to our churches, we are insensitive on this! Therefore we unintentionally pre-conditioned the mind of the congregation for entertainment and amusement on Sundays, instead of growing them into maturity through communing to God. They feel good during worship but there is no commitment for repentance or no transformation take place. Congregations demand the best of the best, humorous and most entertaining speakers in our churches even they are theologically BANKRUPT, but we don't care as long as they're entertained! Then latter on, they will complain "why our members do not want to get involve in sacrifice in giving or to do evangelisms and do missions"? The early Christians clearly understood that when they follow Jesus they will literally die.
The church in New Testament was founded with the blood of Jesus and the blood of the MARTYRS. Today, no wants to become a martyr,in fact we forget the word martyr and it's meaning, no body wants to go to mission and suffer, or even die. Nobody wants to be a pastor anymore because of fear of living in poverty and lost the sense of enjoying luxury and comfort. BY birth, Filipinos has a strong sense of patriotism and nationalism because even in our national anthem “Ang Mamatay Ng Dahil S'yo” Filipino is worth dying for is the result of our natural reaction to invaders like Lapu-lapu to Magelllan. Ninoy Aquino was the last Born Again Christian who died because of fighting for our rights and freedom. Yet, we forget his effort and his sacrificed and his EXAMPLE instead exulting and building a wrong person/monument and idolized them. You and I will agree that without the blood of Ninoy it is impossible for us to have freedom. Ninoy was the lone servant of God for building new constitution that frees us from bondage of martial law. Then who will be our next blood donor, who is willing to fight for our rights and die? We don't expect a none Christian to fight for the HB 634 and RH bill and other bills to come which is unconstitutional and corrupt our value system.
We Christians are commanded in the Bible to die with our self, this include physical death if needed. Let's start do something concrete. Let's extend our hand to help our neighbours, our society and even our communities. Let's have a long term commitment of helping the poor by giving them capital for their livelihood, funding a student/s to school, helping educating them in Christian values and reaching them for Jesus etc, etc. Let us cut off the short term period habit to our society like one day medical mission, mission outreach, one day evangelisms and one time donation without constant follow up regularly. This is not Christian way of doing ministry this is what the politicians are doing before election day. Shame on us if we are doing the same thing. This is a very simple and basic heroic act, every body can be a hero to a particular family or society. This is a test to know where is our confidence came from? Is it from God or not? Let us unite one another in restoring the Filipino values, the values that is a true Godly. We need to protect the Filipino values which is founded in the Bible through Spaniards and Christians long time ago by taking advantage of preventing House Bill 634 and Reproductive Health Bill 5043. We should be aware that RH bill 5043 will kill babies in near future same as America. Our government should review this bill and isolate abortion as illegal in this bill. If not, Muslim will take over the Philippines by population and they will dominate in few years from now as what they did "strategy" in Europe. We are so silent and sounds does not care to our society and our government, because we did not do something for this. We should be brave and take advance of winning souls to Christ and help our nation restore it's original title "THE ONLY CHRISTIAN NATION" in Asia. Let's all say “In God We Trust” that this will happen. God bless!
